Q1. Why is primer not required before painting when AMBHUTI Wall Putty is applied?
Since AMBHUTI Wall Putty is made with very fine white cement, it fills all the pin holes and pores of plaster — resulting in a surface with very little tendency of absorption. Therefore, primer is not recommended after application of AMBHUTI Wall Putty. This also reduces overall project cost and application time.
Q2. After how many days of applying AMBHUTI wall putty can paint be applied?
Painting can be done after 3 or more days after application of AMBHUTI Wall Putty. It is essential to ensure that the wall putty is completely dry before applying paint. Rushing this stage can cause poor adhesion and reduce the life of the paint finish.
Q3. How should the surface be prepared if the wall shows signs of efflorescence or salt deposition?
If due to salty water or salt in sand/bricks, efflorescence is observed, then the plastered surface should be treated with mild acid (like citric acid) before application. Otherwise wall putty will not stick and flaking may arise. After 30 minutes of acid treatment, the surface should be washed thoroughly so no acid remains. After drying properly, AMBHUTI Wall Putty can be applied normally. This treatment should be done under proper professional supervision.
Q4. What causes poor adhesion and flaking of wall putty near skirting?
During grinding of floor and skirting, slurry is produced and sticks to the wall. If not cleaned properly before application, the putty applied on those surfaces will give poor results. Before applying wall putty near skirting, the surface should be cleaned thoroughly with a wire brush and washed completely to remove all deposited slurry. After drying, putty can be applied normally.

Yes, Ambhuti Wall Putty is suitable for both interior and exterior walls. For exterior applications, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from loose material.
