Wall Putty

Why is primer not required before painting when Ambhuti Wall Putty is applied?
Ambhuti Wall Putty is made with very fine white cement that fills all pin holes and pores in the plaster. This results in a surface with very little tendency for absorption — so primer is not needed after application. This also reduces overall project cost and time.
After how many days can paint be applied over Ambhuti Wall Putty?
Painting can be done 3 or more days after application of Ambhuti Wall Putty. It is essential that the wall putty is completely dry before painting. Rushing this stage can cause poor adhesion and reduce the life of the paint finish.
Is Ambhuti Wall Putty waterproof?
No. Ambhuti Wall Putty provides damp resistance — meaning it resists moisture in humid air. It is not designed for direct water contact or to stop water leakages. For walls with active water seepage, use our Anti-Flaking product or contact our technical team for the right solution.
How should the surface be prepared if the wall shows signs of efflorescence or salt deposits?
If efflorescence or salt deposits are visible, treat the plastered surface with a mild acid (such as diluted citric acid) before application. Leave for 30 minutes, then wash thoroughly so no acid residue remains. Let the surface dry completely before applying wall putty. This treatment must be carried out under professional supervision.
What causes poor adhesion and flaking of wall putty near skirting?
During floor and skirting grinding, slurry is produced and sticks to the wall. If not cleaned before application, putty applied on those surfaces will give poor results. Clean the area thoroughly with a wire brush, wash completely to remove slurry, and allow to dry before applying putty.
Can Ambhuti Wall Putty be used on exterior walls?
Yes, Ambhuti Wall Putty is suitable for both interior and exterior walls. For exterior applications, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from loose material. Apply in dry, non-rain conditions and allow proper curing time. For coastal or high-humidity regions, contact our technical team for additional guidance.
How many coats of wall putty should be applied?
Typically two coats are applied for a smooth, finished surface. The first coat seals the surface and fills imperfections; the second coat provides the final smooth finish. Each coat must be fully dry before the next is applied. Allow a minimum of 24 hours between coats.

Anti-Flaking

What is Ambhuti Anti-Flaking and how does it work?
Ambhuti Anti-Flaking is a two-part coating that laminates cement walls and permanently prevents paint from peeling and flaking. It serves both as a lamination layer and a base coat — reducing overall wall treatment cost on moisture-affected surfaces.
What is the mixing ratio for Ambhuti Anti-Flaking?
Mix Part A and Part B in a 2:1 ratio before application. Stir thoroughly to ensure a uniform mixture. Apply directly on the clean cement wall surface. Do not dilute with water.
Can Anti-Flaking be applied on walls that already have paint?
For best results, Anti-Flaking should be applied directly on cement/plaster surfaces after removing all loose, flaking paint. If existing paint is well-bonded and the surface is dry, consult our technical team before proceeding. Applying over loose paint will not give lasting results.

Bond Guru & Rapid

What is the mixing ratio for Ambhuti Bond Guru?
Mix Bond Guru Resin and Hardener in a 10:8 ratio. Apply on both cleaned, dry surfaces and leave under pressure for best bonding results. The bond achieves full strength within 24 hours.
What surfaces can Bond Guru be used on?
Bond Guru can bond stone, marble, granite, wood, metal, ceramic, and most construction materials. It is also used to repair cracks in tanks and pipes due to its waterproof and chemical-resistant properties. It is not recommended for flexible substrates that expand and contract significantly.
Why is the Bond Guru adhesive transparent?
Bond Guru is formulated to be transparent so the bonding line remains invisible — especially important for marble and granite installations where aesthetics matter. The transparent finish ensures no discoloration at the join line.
What is Rapid adhesive and how is it different from Bond Guru?
Rapid is a cyanoacrylate (super glue-type) instant adhesive that bonds within seconds. It is ideal for quick, spot-fix bonding of stone, marble, granite, and tiles during installation. Bond Guru is a two-part epoxy adhesive that provides a stronger, permanent structural bond, making it suitable for heavy-duty applications such as tank repairs, structural stone bonding, and metal joints.
In which pack sizes is Rapid available?
Ambhuti Rapid is available in 20g and 50g pack sizes — suitable for individual contractor use or job-site quantities. Contact us for bulk pricing on larger orders.

Roof Cool

How much does Ambhuti Roof Cool reduce roof temperature?
Ambhuti Roof Cool can reduce roof surface temperature by up to 20°C. In thermal testing at an ambient temperature of 40°C, an uncoated roof surface reached 65–70°C, while a Roof Cool coated surface stayed at just 40–45°C — maintaining near-ambient temperature even during peak summer afternoons.
How long does Roof Cool last?
Ambhuti Roof Cool lasts 5+ years under normal conditions. The coating is water-based, eco-friendly, low VOC, and can be cleaned with normal water. Performance may vary depending on local environmental conditions and the quality of surface preparation.
What types of roofs can Roof Cool be applied on?
Ambhuti Roof Cool is suitable for RCC (reinforced concrete) flat roofs, corrugated metal sheets, and asbestos roofing. It is used widely in apartments, factories, warehouses, hospitals, and industrial sheds. For sloped or tiled roofs, contact our technical team for guidance.
Does Roof Cool reduce electricity bills?
Yes. By reducing roof temperature by up to 20°C, Roof Cool significantly reduces the heat load on air conditioning systems. This translates to electricity cost savings of up to 40% during peak summer months, making it a strong return-on-investment product for commercial and industrial buildings.
