How to Apply Roof Cool

Clean the Roof Surface

Remove all dust, loose mortar, algae, moss, oil, and existing flaking coatings. Fill major cracks and gaps with appropriate filler. Allow to dry completely.

Apply Primer Coat (if required)

On highly porous or absorbent surfaces, apply a primer coat first. Allow to dry before applying Roof Cool. Contact our technical team for primer guidance specific to your substrate.

Apply First Coat

Apply Roof Cool using a brush, roller, or spray. Ensure even coverage across the entire roof surface including edges and parapet areas. Allow to dry (minimum 4–6 hours).

Apply Second Coat for Full Performance

Apply a second coat of Roof Cool perpendicular to the first coat direction. Full reflectivity and waterproofing performance requires both coats. Allow 24 hours before exposure to rain.

Note: Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours. Do not apply on surfaces with active water leakage — treat the source of leakage before coating. Temperature reduction claims are based on test conditions and actual results may vary depending on climate, building construction, and application quality.
